How to register for adult education classes

You can register for Adult Education classes at several times during the year. Registration is handled through the Adult Education office. You must register in person; online registration is not available. There is no cost for registration. Registration and enrollment are on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration includes placement testing. Class placement will depend on your placement test results.

    • To register for basic skills and GED preparation classes, new students must attend a two-part registration session on the college’s campus in Largo. For more information on classes, and dates, times and locations for the next registration, click here.
    • To register for Adult Education ESL classes, you must go to the center where you want to take your class, on the registration date for that center. For more information on dates and locations for classes and registration, click here.
    • To apply for the National External Diploma Program (NEDP), you must first attend an information and registration session, which will include screening tests in math and reading and writing a short essay. These are held by appointment only, at the college’s Hyattsville office. There is no charge for this appointment. For more information on the next registration session and on the NEDP, click here.
