  • Student Type Explanations

    First Time College: Individuals who have never attended college at any location.

    Transfer Student: Individuals who have completed classes at any regionally- accredited community college or any four-year institution.

    Readmission Student: Individuals who have not taken credit courses here at Prince George’s Community College in the last two years (four semesters), but wish to be readmitted into the college.

    International Student: Permanent Resident and Non F-1 Visa Holders- Individuals who are non-citizens but possess a permanent resident card or visa (other than F-1). Persons Requesting Student Visa- Individuals requesting admission and granting of a Form I-20 in order to obtain a student visa.

    Current High School Student:

    Dual Enrollment Program: Juniors and seniors enrolled in Prince George’s County Public Schools.

    Concurrent Enrollment Program: Juniors and seniors who are homeschooled or enrolled in private schools.

    Talented and Gifted Program: Students who do not yet meet the grade-level requirements for dual or concurrent enrollment.

    Nursing and Allied Health Student: Individuals seeking to study one of the following programs: Health Information Management, Medical Assisting, Medical Coder/Billing Specialist Certificate, Nuclear Medicine technology A.A.S., Nursing LPN Certificate, Nursing RN Degree, Nursing LPN to RN Transition Option, Paramedic, Paramedic to RN Transition Option, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, or Surgical Technology.
