Senator Barbara Mikulski was recognized for her track record in putting her personal values into action on the issues that matter to over 44,000 students served by Prince George's Community College such as access to higher education for students, health care, STEM, cybersecurity, and veterans affairs. Lockheed Martin was acknowledged for their involvement with Prince George's Community College and subsequent commitment of time, personnel and resources. Also for their commitment to build innovative educational and career pathways for STEM students from high school through college by way of programs like the Lockheed Martin Academies and the Information Technology Early College.
