Healthy Hair Expo Combines Styling and Music for Unique Learning Opportunities

LARGO, Md.—Participate in educational sessions about the multimillion dollar hair care industry, purchase beauty items at a marketplace, experience the latest in hair and fashion trends and compete in a karaoke competition at Nappy-Oke, October 29, 10:00 a.m. – 6 p.m., at Prince George’s Community College’s (PGCC) Largo campus, 301 Largo Road, Largo, MD. PGCC and Asaze Natural Hair are co-sponsors of the event.

Nappy-Oke promotes health, wellness and cultural development including healthy hair care, fashion and entrepreneurship. Along with karaoke, Nappy-Oke attendees will enjoy food and networking. Several PGCC organizations are partnering to produce the event including the Office of College Life Services, ALANA Experience Mentoring Program, Hillman Entrepreneurship Program, and Workforce Development and Continuing Education. Members of Image, Inc., a PGCC student modeling club, will be participating as models for the hair and fashion shows.
