Laurel College Center Offers Higher Education Courses Where People Live and Work

LARGO, Md.—Advance your career and take classes for personal growth at Laurel College Center (LCC). Prospective students who live and work in the Laurel area will be able to tour the center, meet with academic and financial aid advisors and apply and register for fall semester courses at an open house, July 26, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Laurel College Center. Representatives from the center’s partner institutions Notre Dame of Maryland University, University of Maryland, College Park and University of Maryland University College will be available to answer questions about transfer opportunities.  

“The open house is a great opportunity for the community to tour the center and learn about the variety of programs offered here,” said Nancy Grinberg, program director at Laurel College Center. “LCC has become the place to take pre-nursing or allied health prerequisite courses including general education, general biology, anatomy and physiology and microbiology classes,” she added.

LCC is a Maryland Regional Higher Education Center founded by Prince George’s Community College and Howard Community College to provide convenient and multi-level learning opportunities to people who live and work in the Laurel area. LCC has partnered with four-year institutions such as Notre Dame of Maryland University, Morgan State University, Towson University, University of Maryland, College Park and University of Maryland University College to offer a range of opportunities from associate to doctoral degrees.  

Prince George’s Community College is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Two-year Education designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security (2010-2015).
