Opening Week Promotes College Spirit, Artistic Talent and Healthy Habits

 LARGO, Md.—Students and faculty participate in free events designed to enhance school spirit, promote healthy habits and showcase artistic talent, August 27-31 at the Largo campus. 

 Rock the Vote, August 27, 2-4 p.m., Largo Student Center, lobby. Register to vote for the 2012 election and meet representatives from the Student Government Association and Campus Activities Board.   

PGCC Owl Pride Pep Rally, August 28, 12-3 p.m., Largo Student Center, courtyard. Display college pride and test your skills in a student dunk tank game competition. 

Welcome to Wellness, August 29, 11a.m.-1 p.m., Queen Anne Fine Arts, lawn and porch. Exercise to popular dance tunes, learn healthy habits and how to purchase personal and automobile insurance.  

Karaoke Lounging, August 30, 1-3 p.m., Largo Student Center, student lounge. Sing the hits and win prizes at a karaoke session.  

Intramural Day, August 31, noon-2 p.m., Queen Anne Fine Arts, lawn and porch.  Enjoy snow cones and cotton candy, ping pong, checkers, Frisbee and other games.
