At the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge National Gathering in Washington, D.C., Prince George’s Community College received a certificate for being selected for The President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.  This is the highest federal recognition that colleges can receive for their community service.

Each year since 2006, the President of the United States recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary community service and achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes in communities through service.  It is awarded for the extraordinary and exemplary community service contributions of its students, faculty, and staff in meeting critical community and national needs, placing more students on a lifelong path of civic engagement, and for raising visibility of best practices in campus-community partnerships.  The college is receiving this award for its work in the area of interfaith community service.

Congratulations PGCC staff and faculty members, Andristine Robinson, Pamela Thomas, Dr. Marlene Cohen, Paulett McIntosh and student, Neha Sethi, for your dedication to the college and the community. You make a difference and your work is positively impacting the lives of others.
