LARGO, Md.—Prince George's Community College has partnered with Under Armour, a leading developer, marketer and distributor of branded performance apparel, to provide uniforms, footwear and accessories for all of its athletic teams, known as the Owls. The partnership begins July 1. PGCC is the only community college in Maryland with an exclusive agreement with Under Armour.
The three-year agreement includes head-to-toe Under Armour products such as uniforms, practice gear, footwear, headwear and socks for the college's men and women's soccer, men and women's basketball, men and women's track and field, softball, baseball and cheerleaders teams. Additionally, the partnership includes apparel for athletic staff.
"Under Armour is a leader in performance apparel, and our teams are excited to partner with an innovative company," said Jo Ann Todaro, athletics director. "Prince George's Community College is committed to the overall improvement of the student athlete, and this partnership provides another step toward excellence," she added.
The agreement offers the college discounts on apparel through its team dealer, Marlow Sports. In return, Under Armour will display two banners on-field and on-court as well as use approved photographs and audiovisual footage of PGCC team games to promote Under Armour and Under Armour products.
