LARGO, MD – Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) is partnering with Follett Higher Education Group, operator of PGCC Bookstores, to enhance the Largo campus bookstore shopping experience with a floor to ceiling renovation. Bookstore updates will include a more modern store design, a new customer lounge area and an updated layout to better display the bookstore’s wide range of technology and convenience products. Renovations will begin on Monday, October 24, and are scheduled to be completed prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Kari Thorson, PGCC Bookstore manager, said the bookstore will remain open during its usual hours throughout the remodel. Standard bookstore hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays; 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays; and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. While the store will be open, select parts of the store may be inaccessible to customers during certain points in the renovation.

“We’re looking forward to formally unveiling a refreshed bookstore this December, but in the meantime, you can expect the same great service from the bookstore team,” Thorson said. “We’ll do our absolute best to minimize any inconvenience to customers during the renovation, and we encourage the entire campus community to stop by periodically to see the progress.”
