LARGO, Md.—Reynero Pacheco (Hyattsville, MD), pre-pharmacy major at Prince George’s Community College, has been named National Junior College Athletic Association Men’s Soccer Division III Goalie of the Week, September 24-30. Pacheco successfully blocked 11 of 12 shots on goal in a 1-0 overtime win over Potomac State College of West Virginia University. Pacheco recorded seven saves, in a 100-minutes shutout performance, and received the same honor for his goalie skills the week of September 3.
“Reynero Pacheco’s hard work and dedication have an inspiration to all of our students, and he is an essential reason why our team has been so successful,” said Jo Ann Todaro, athletics director at Prince George’s Community College.
The Owls Men’s Soccer Team will play a series of games on the road starting with Frederick Community College, Wednesday, October 10, 3 p.m.; Hagerstown Community College, Friday October 12, 3:30 p.m.; and Westmoreland County Community College, Saturday, October 13 at 1 p.m.
