What We Do
The Department emphasizes the social sciences of psychology and sociology and careers in the human services helping professions. The faculty include both full-time instructors as well as working professionals.
What You Get
Students can major in psychology or sociology options of general studies, which lead to a readily transferable associate of science (AS) degree, or they can earn an associate of applied science (AAS) degree in human services.
Where You'll Go
With a degree in psychology or sociology students can continue their education at a four-year school in psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, or a wide variety of related programs. With a human services degree, students are prepared to directly enter the workforce in the helping professions, advance their career, or continue their education in human services, counseling or social work.
