The Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)/Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) program is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Do you want to work in the health care field but do not know where to start? Have you always wanted to work in patient care? If so, you may want to become a Nursing Assistant and begin your career in the nursing field. CNA, certified nursing assistant training is offered in as little as 8 weeks.

What is a Certified Nursing Assistant or CNA? A CNA provides basic patient care skills to patients in hospitals, nursing homes and doctor's offices. The nursing assistant training is a 2-part program--CNA Theory (84 hours) and CNA Clinical (52 hours). Successful completion of both parts is needed. The program provides training in life span development, vital signs, basic patient care skills, etc. It also includes a 12-hour GNA Test Prep course. The Clinical course is held at a MD nursing home.
