What is a Certified Nursing Assistant or CNA? A CNA provides basic patient care skills to patients in hospitals, nursing homes and doctor's offices. The nursing assistant training is a 2-part program--CNA Theory (84 hours) and CNA Clinical (52 hours). Successful completion of both parts is needed. The program provides training in life span development, vital signs, basic patient care skills, etc. It also includes a 12-hour GNA Test Prep course. The Clinical course is held at a MD nursing home. There are several additional fees associated with this program. Books are not included in the cost of this course. Please click on the CNA Brochure link on the left for more information about this course.
