Accreditation Information

Applicants for appraisal licensure must successfully complete 150 hours of approved AQB training (RES 403, 400, 404 and 405), including full attendance and passing grades on all exams, and be able to document 2,000 hours of appraisal experience before sitting for the state exam. The courses offered at PGCC were developed by the Maryland Community College Association for Continuing Education and Training (MCCACET).

Places a value on real property for taxes, sale, mortgages or insurance purposes.

Conducts research on recent property transactions and current value of similar property that has sold recently. 

Writes a report and provides the information to interested parties such as county auditors and mortgage companies.
