The Adult Education Program offers GED preparation and Basic Reading and Math classes. Enrollment is based on the results of placement tests; learners are placed in the appropriate class for their level.
Basic Reading and Math classes are for adults who need basic instruction in reading, writing and math. Math and Reading classes are for adults who need more practice in reading, writing, and math skills as they prepare to transition to GED-level classes.
GED-level classes are for adults who are preparing to take the GED Tests and need to review their skills. Classes focus on writing, math problem solving, and test-taking skills.
Classes are held throughout Prince George’s County. Morning, evening, Friday, and Saturday programs are available. Most classes meet for a total of 60 hours.
Students at all levels purchase their textbooks. Information sessions and placement testing are held on the College’s Largo campus. Please call (301) 322-0891 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information session dates and times.
