This program prepares students for computer support careers. It also prepares students for the CompTIA A+ computer support certification, the CompTIA Network + certification, and the CompTIA Security+ certification. All courses in this program can be used in the Computer Engineering Technology A.A.S. degree and the Information Technology A.A.S. degree.
Curriculum
Learning Foundations Reading Requirements
- All students must read English at an acceptable level in order to begin college-level courses. The college assesses two levels of reading proficiency as shown below. Both must be satisfied in order to enroll in college-level classes.
- Meet a basic reading standard by placement exam score by taking DVR-0051 or ESL-0105, or by exemption due to prior college coursework.
- Meet college-level reading standards by placement exam score, by taking DVR-0061 DVR-0071 or ESL-0106, or by exemption as a result of prior college coursework.
Computer Service Technology (Certificate)
- Complete these required INT courses.
- Take 5 credits from the following list of courses: INT-1450, 1460, 1560, 1630, 2300, 2450, 2460, 2530, 2720. ent-1880, 2960, 2970, 2980.
