General Information

The Business Administration program prepares students to transfer to a four-year business program. It contains the general education courses needed to meet the core requirements of a bachelor's degree and only a limited number of business courses. For immediate career preparation with the option to transfer a majority of credits, consider the Business Management degree.

The Business Administration A.S. degree program provides the first half of a bachelor's degree in business and related disciplines. It includes an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to developing skills and knowledge in decision making, problem solving, and leadership. The curriculum establishes a foundation in business, accounting, economics, statistics, communications, and management theory. This program provides excellent transferability to four-year institutions.

  • Complete MAT-1350. A grade of "C" or better is needed to take the other math courses required in this program.

General Electives - 10 Credits (3 At 2000 Level)
  • Complete 10 credit hours of general electives. At least 3 credits must be in a 2000-level course. PED-1000 and PED-1030 may not be used. (If you took two 4-credit science courses or a 4-credit math course, you can take only 9 credits of electives.)
    • TAKE AT LEAST ONE 2000-LEVEL COURSE.
    • TAKE 7 CREDITS OF ELECTIVES

  • You must take at least 18 credits of 2000-level courses in order to graduate in this program. Courses listed below count toward that requirement.
