HST-1320H - Honors Modern History

This course provides a basic understanding of European history from the Renaissance to the Cold War. Broadly, the course encompasses political, economic, social and cultural developments. Specific areas of study include the Renaissance, European exploration and conquest, the Reformation era, the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment, the French Revolution, nationalism, the Industrial Revolution, socialism and other topics.
