DVR-0061 - College Reading & Study Skills

This course improves students' vocabulary, comprehension and study skills. Application of these skills will enable a student to read his/her college textbooks more effectively and efficiently. Topics include topic, main idea, details, writing patterns, critical reading and note taking. Four Equivalent Hours (EH) awarded for successful completion. Successful completion meets the reading proficiency required for enrollment in credit courses. NOTE: Students enrolled in DVR-0061 must take PAS-1010 in the same semester. (Formerly DVR-0060. Students who have successfully completed DVR-0060 should not take DVR-0061.) 3 class/2 lab hours.
