ENR-538 - The American Legal System

This course is designed to give students an understanding of the American legal system from its simple early foundations to the complex, contemporary institution it has become. Topics will include origins of American law; the roles played by the founding fathers in establishing our legal base; the evolution of law; ethics; legal terminology; processes; and the basics of tort and contract law.
