LGE-405 - Spanish for School Administrat

Teachers who have taken this course feel more confident in communicating with the diverse parent and student community in their schools. This course is designed to provide functional Spanish language skills for school personnel who have frequent contact with Spanish-speakers. It includes extensive training for non-Spanish-speaking classroom teachers who have Spanish-speaking children in their classroom. Key phrases and activities concentrate on registration, classroom management, loading children on and off school buses, emergency and fire drills, teacher conferences, and simple phrases like "Don't run," and "Raise your hand." No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary. Materials include an 80-page manual and accompanying CDs.
