BIO-330 - Fundamentals of Soil Science

Introduces the study and management of soils as ecosystem components and media for the growth of plants and other organisms. Includes soil morphology, composition, formation, and conservation. Emphasizes the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils as they relate to plant biology, nutrient cycles, the hydrologic cycle, engineering uses of soils, and environmental quality issues. 3 lecture, 3 lab hours per week.
