BIO-2330 - Fundamentals of Soil Science

A lecture/laboratory course introducing the study and management of soils as ecosystem components and media for the growth of plants and other organisms. Includes soil morphology, composition, formation, and conservation; emphasizes the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils as they relate to plant biology, nutrient cycles, the hydrologic cycle, engineering uses of soils, and environmental quality issues. 3 lec/3 lab.
