This course is designed for individuals pursuing professional development training in telecommunications, and provides instruction on structure cabling systems. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: identify various types of communication media and elements of cable design, explain the effects of bandwidth, frequency, and data rate have on data communication, Identify correct cabling pathway solution for various applications, Identify the correct tools and safety equipment for cable installation and identify the uses and limitations of fiber optic cabling.
