SKB-467 - Write/Sell Self-Help Books

This course is designed to enable the student to learn skills needed to successfully enter the world of publishing and to convey self-help book writing secrets that capture the necessary attention of agents and publishers in the highly competitive book market. Topics to be covered include discussion of what literary agents and acquisitions editors are seeking, and how to maximize the chances of landing a contract, classification of the three crucial criteria for selecting a topic for a first self-help book, reinforcement of proper book-writing structure and how to speak directly to readers, using compelling stories to illustrate the principal message, and writing a chapter ending that maintains reader engagement.
