FIN-502 - Protect: Money, Credit, Assets

This course is designed to present an overview of the skills needed to identify and prevent identity theft, financial scams and fraud, and abusive debt-collecting. Topics to be covered include assessment of threats, including identity fraud, internet and credit card scams, and deceptive service contracts; recognition of scams that can cost money and ruin credit; analysis of federal and state laws that assist in the management of debt-collection; and understanding and improving one's credit score.
