Attending the New Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) is the first step toward your academic success. SOAR is a one-stop opportunity to learn about services and resources available at Prince George’s Community College, become familiar with college policies and procedures, and get the inside “scoop” on the institution. Your experience doesn't just stop there. Owl Success Track will be with you throughout your first year offering a variety of services and programs to engage you. After you complete the New Student Orientation (SOAR), students and their families are invited to attend the New Student Convocation. During the fall and spring semesters, students are invited to attend college tours, along with workshops on financial literacy, personal management, and goal setting to name a few. At any time during their first year, students are encouraged to connect with an Owl Success Track team member should you encounter any barriers that you feel will impede your academic success, from stress to academic difficulties.
