Program Summary
PGCC offers a broad selection of art classes including drawing, watercolor, and oil painting. Please see the Schedule of Classes for specific offerings as not all classes are offered each semester. The following non-credit art classes are available currently:
- Designing and Illustrating Children’s Books
- Pen and Ink Drawing (for black and white and color inks with Sumi Brushwork
- Drawing I
- Watercolor
- Oil Painting
- Hand Painted Furniture (Laurel College Center only)
- Creative Journaling (listed under Creative Writing in the Schedule of Classes)
The College encourages students to enter the bi-annual student art shows held in conjunction with the credit Art Department. Art instructors can assist students with the process of submitting work for the annual shows. PGCC students have been consistent in winning awards.
