The Bluebird Blues Festival is an annual event held at Prince George’s Community College in September and has become one of the County’s premier events. The Festival serves an average of 12,000 people each year and the participants look forward to the current format and elements of the Festival. This project is a musical venue presented in the Fair/Festival format to a mixed audience of participants that reflects the demographics of Prince George’s County.
The Festival includes two stages, a main stage with a Headliner act and three nationally known artists and a smaller stage, with three additional acts and a Blues Workshop conducted by a Blues scholar throughout the day. The Festival includes a number of activities for children: face painting, roving artists, “tattoo (Henna) art” and many other events that are sponsored by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Children’s activities will be held at the Queen Anne Auditorium. Food and Craft vendors will be available to sell food and various items for participants. A list of confirmed vendors is below.
Please come, bring your chairs and enjoy an afternoon of wonderful entertainment. Admission is FREE. Please note, alcohol and pets, excluding service animals, are not permitted. We look forward to seeing you there!
