AOBA Scholarship

Sponsored by the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA), the Scholarship Program offers graduates of Prince George's County high schools paid tuition to Prince George's Community College, worth $ 6,000, over a two-year period.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • US citizen or permanent resident
  • Resident of Prince George's County
  • Current graduate or have graduated within the last three years from a Prince George's County high school
  • Accepted for admission to Prince George's Community College and completed the college's placement test and application by the deadline
  • Evidence of readiness to start college credit courses (i.e. successful completion of developmental course work if necessary)
  • A minimum 2.5 cumulative high school/college grade point average; students are required to submit a copy of their high school and/or college transcripts
  • Household income of no more than $ 60,000 per year as evidence by the previous year's tax return (to document financial need)
  • Three letters of recommendation; two letters from high school/college faculty or staff and one letter from a recognized Community organization
  • Preference will be given to applicants residing in apartment communities owned and/or managed by members of AOBA
