How to use the campus Fax Server
 
The OMTOOL Genifax Server, here after known as “the fax server”, is used to both send and receive faxes directly to and from your computer. Sending and receiving faxes to and from your computer requires a Groupwise account. Faxes may be sent with or without the assistance of a scanner.
 
A.   To send a fax with the assistance of a scanner:
  1. Scan the document to be sent on the computer  
    i.
    On the computer, save the document as a .PDF file.
  2. Open a new email.    
  3. Type the fax number in the To: field followed by (10 digits ONLY!)@fax.pgcc.edu    (no dashes)
    ie., To: 3015551212@fax.pgcc.edu
  4. Attach the scanned document to the email.
  5. Press the SEND button.

B.    To send a fax without the assistance of a scanner:

  1. Open a new email.
  2. Type the fax number in the To: field followed by (10 digits ONLY!)@fax.pgcc.edu    (no dashes)
    ie., To: 3015551212@fax.pgcc.edu
  3. Attach the document that you wish to send (MS-Word, PDF, Jpg, etc.)
  4. Press the SEND button.

C.   To receive a fax on your PC:

Incoming faxes will be sent to the department fax proxy for distribution.
