ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE (A.A.S.)
The accounting professional degree is designed to help prepare the student for employment in entry-level accounting positions, such as an accounting assistant, an accounting clerk, or an accounting technician.
University of Maryland University College will accept the transfer of all courses within our Accounting Professional degree, up to a maximum of 60 credits. A transfer student will be required to take at least 15 credit hours of upper-level accounting courses at University of Maryland University College. Minimum required for A.A.S. degree: 68 credit hours.

Candidates must have completed a total of 150 credit hours. CPA candidates are advised to periodically check with the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy (410-333-6322).
