The Mission of the Health Sciences Division is to: 1) provide rigorous, learner-centered programs that prepare quality health care professionals to meet the health needs of the residents of Prince George's and surrounding counties, and 2) assist individuals in developing means of achieving and sustaining life-long health promotion.

The Health Sciences Division includes the departments of Allied Health, Health & Human Performance, and Nursing.

Department of Nursing

Prince George's Community College's Nursing Program is one of the largest of the 14 associate degree programs in Maryland. The program was approved by the State Board of Nursing in 1969 and accredited by the National League of Nursing in 1976. The LPN to ADN Transition Program began the summer of 1995. The LPN Program began the fall of 1996 and is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
