The Business Administration Program is designed for students preparing for managerial and administrative positions in business, industry and government. Administrators and managers are responsible for such functions as planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling. They are professionals who should have effective oral and written communication and human relations skills, as well as strong mathematical, statistical, analytical and organizational skills. A wide range of job opportunities is available in the public and private sectors in the Washington metropolitan area for well-trained, experienced administrators and managers. Transferability: This program transfers to bachelor’s degree programs in business administration with specialties in areas such as accounting, industrial management, information systems management, public relations, or transportation management. Real Estate

This Letter of Recognition provides students with the knowledge necessary to take the real estate salesperson licensing examination and also the ability to analyze potential real estate investments. Students passing the Real Estate Principles and Practices course (RLS 103) may apply to take the Maryland Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Examination. RLS 103 is 60 classroom hours in length. The Real Estate Finance and Investment course (RLS 203) includes cash-flow forecasting, financing, tax implications and timing of property disposal as related to investing in real estate. RLS 203 is 45 classroom hours in length. Credits earned for the Real Estate Letter of Recognition may be applied as electives to the Business Management Associate of Applied Science degree program.
