The Bernard Collegian Center
Our Mission
The purpose of the Bernard Center for Business Management and Accounting is to help students develop an identity with their discipline. The Bernard Center offers discipline specific programs, extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities for business management and accounting students and faculty in a supportive and academically challenging environment.
Our Vision
The Bernard Center will be a regionally recognized center of excellence for business and accounting students at Prince George's Community College, offering opportunities for intellectual, career and personal growth, with students and faculty working together to achieve new levels of academic and professional success.

Membership Criteria
You are eligible to join the Collegian Center if you:
- have been admitted to Prince George’s Community College
- declare your program option as Criminal Justice AA or AAS degree, Forensic Science AS or AAS degree, Paralegal Studies AAS degree, or Pre-Law AA degree
- have a cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or higher, based upon at least 12 and no more than 30 college credits
To remain a member of the Collegian Center you must:
- Attend the reception, or, only under rare circumstances, meet with the coordinator in her office
- Submit documentation that you attended at least three other activities offered.
Programmatic Features
The members of the Collegian Center can select from the following activities:
- Counseling/advisement session (attendance sheet)
- Field trip or police ride-along (attendance sheet/officer’s documentation)
- Scholarly lecture (ticket stub)
- Seminar (ticket stub)
- Professional Association conference or workshop (program)
- Presentation, if working in the field of criminal justice, to a class or outside group (301-322-0128; Temporary Office Building TO-106; Linda Stabile)
- Presentation, if an international student, about one’s culture and beliefs (301-322-0177; Queen Anne, Room 107; Marlene Cohen)
- Recruitment presentation as an Enrollment Services Student Ambassador (301-322-0075; Bladen Hall, Room 168; Jennifer Price)
- Contribution of an article to the newsletter
- Attendance of a service learning class or an honors class (counts as only one activity)
- Any other activity approved by the Collegian Center Coordinator
