Driver Education & Licensing
Program Summary
The Driver Education program is provided for beginning drivers who wish to obtain a Maryland Class C driver’s license. The 36-hour course includes 30 hours in 10 sessions of classroom instruction and 6 hours behind-the-wheel skills training. Schedules for the lecture portion of the class include day, evening, and weekend classes in both English and Spanish. The 6 hours behind-the-wheel instruction is scheduled on a flexible basis with each individual student.
Courses are taught by professional, Motor Vehicle Administration certified instructors, who patiently and courteously coach the new driver using late model, specially equipped vehicles which are easy to maneuver in traffic and parking situations.
In addition to the PGCC registration and fees, there is an additional, optional charge to use our program vehicle for the MVA road test. This fee is not paid at registration and will be collected when you schedule your Motor Vehicle Administration road test for driver’s license.
The college refund policy states there are no refunds after the class starts.
