PGCC Foundation, Inc.

The Prince George's Community College Foundation, Inc. was incorporated on April 19, 1985 and received 501(c)3 status on February 13, 1986. It is operated exclusively as a nonprofit organization for the charitable and educational purposes of furthering the programs, facilities, and opportunities at Prince George's Community College by providing financial resources to meet its goals and objectives. The Board consists of 22 community leaders who advocate, provide guidance and ensure accountability for efforts related to fundraising, endowment, scholarship, community relations and other matters of growth and sustainability. By fostering partnerships and leveraging funds, the Board has helped to position the college to reach its strategic goals and objectives. In 2004, the College and Foundation implemented its first-ever major gifts campaign to support Prince George's Community College.

The college’s four funding priorities include (1) technology; (2) student success; (3) teaching and learning; and (4) health sciences. The decision to add special emphasis to these critical areas was researched and defined as necessary strategic endeavors for the county, region and state. The foundation continues to need the investment of individuals, corporations and foundations to strive for excellence.
