Prince George’s County high school students will be recognized for completing the Summer Young Adult Construction Career Training Program (SYACCTP) with a cookout celebration event.

TeamBuilders Academy began in April 2009 and was inspired by former Prince George’s County Council member Tony Knotts who recognized a need for a specialized job training program to support his community. The SYACCTP is an initiative targeting high school seniors enrolled in a construction related vocational program and interested in pursuing careers in construction trades. TeamBuilders Academy is open to eligible adult residents of Prince George’s County who are chronically unemployed and eager to enter the workforce but need training, guidance and assistance to establish a solid career path. Prince George’s Community College is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Two-year Education designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security (2010-2015).
