The college is part of the Cisco Networking Academy Program and uses the Cisco developed curriculum. Students have access to state of the art Cisco routers and switches in the hands-on labs. Students who take CNT 445, 446, 447 and 448 and become a Cisco Certified Network Associate(CCNA) are eligible to receive 16 credits for INT 1450, INT 1460, INT 2450, and INT 2460.

Prince George's Community College offers an in-depth, four-course series to prepare students to test for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification through its Cisco Networking Academy. Individuals holding the CCNA certification are qualified to design, operate, and maintain networking systems using switches and routers.

CNT-445 Cisco Networking (CCNA) 1: Introduction to Cisco Networking     4.5 CEUs
This is the first of a four-course sequence preparing for the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification. Topics will include: OSi and TCP/IP models, Ethernet concepts and operation; TCP and UDP protocols and ports; network design using IPv4 and IPv6 subnets; router and switch configuration. This is the second of a four-course sequence preparing for Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification. Topics include switch configuration and security, virtual LANs (VLANs) and trunking; single-area OSPF routing; static routes; access control lists; Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP); Network Address Translation (NAT) Prerequisites: CNT-309 or CNT 445. CNT-447 Cisco Networking (CCNA) 3: Scaling Networks     4.5 CEUs
This is the third of a four-course sequence leading to Cisco CCNA certification. Topics will include design, configuration, and troubleshooting of large networks.Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and EtherChannel; routing for large IPv4 and IPv6 networks using EIGRP and multi-area OSPF.   Prerequisite: CNT-310 or CNT 446. Meets concurrently with credit course INT-2450.

CNT-448 Cisco Networking (CCNA) 4: Connecting Networks     4.5 CEUs
This is the final course in a four-course sequence leading to Cisco CCNA certification. Topics will include design, configuration, and troubleshooting of wide area networks using PPP and rame relay protocols; configuring Virtual Private Networks (VPNs); implementing network monitoring.  Prerequisite: CNT-311 or CNT 447. Meets concurrently with credit course INT-2460.

Students will learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise LAN and WAN routing, using a range of routing protocols in IPv4 and IPv6 environments. This course prepares students to take the CCNP Implementing Cisco IP Routing (Route) certification exam. Students must first pass the CCNA E&S certification before they can sit for any of the 3 exams. Class meets concurrently with credit course INT-2310.

This course prepares students to take the CCNP Implementing Cisco Ip Switched Networks (SWITCH) certification exam. Students must first pass the CCNA R&S Certification before they can sit for any of the 3 exams that are required. Class meets concurrently with credit course INT-2820
