Successful completion of this exam is generally globally recognized as equivalent to an entry-level network specialist position. Once student passes the Network+ exam and receives national certification, you are eligible to receive 3 college credits for INT 1550.



The Network+ exam tests the ability of a networking technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support a network, and understand various aspects of networking technologies, including TCP/IP and the OSI model. It also tests knowledge of network components and where they function in association with the OSI model, network cabling, network security, and network troubleshooting.

DPR-735 CompTIA Network+ Certification Preparation 5.0 CEUs
This course will cover the installation and operation of computer networks from the hardware, rather than the administrative standpoint. Students will build and test working networks and associated wiring.  Helps prepare students for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. Students who complete the course are eligible for discounted vouchers for certification testing. Meets concurrently with credit course INT-1550. Call Prince George's Community College bookstore for textbook requirements.
