Code Blue Emergency Callboxes are active on the Largo Campus, and available for your use during emergencies. These boxes are located in the parking lots, track, and fields of the Largo Campus. Code Blue Callboxes can be used to contact College Police for emergency assistance similar to the use of a phone.

What does this mean?

In most circumstances, you will be a short distance from a Code Blue Emergency Callbox. The Code Blue Callboxes are an excellent way of contacting College Police to communicate an emergency, and receive immediate response through the push of a single button on the Code Blue Callbox.

College Police can also use these callboxes as a public address system, to communicate alerts to the College Community through the callboxes amplified speakers.

How do I use them?

Currently, only the College’s Largo campus exterior Code Blue callboxes are operational. These callboxes are blue, tower style stations.

Using a Code Blue Callbox is simple, as there is only one button to press to contact College Police. Upon pressing the “push for help" button, you will be connected to College Police through open, two way communication. Once a Code Blue callbox is activated, you will notice a blue light on top of the Code Blue station flash. This light will help responding Police Officers locate you, and serve as a visual deterrent to criminals. Work on all interior callboxes is still ongoing. The College Community will be notified when those callboxes are available for use.
