Around Prince George’s
“Around Prince George’s” is a magazine-style community affairs program highlighting higher education issues affecting Prince George’s County, learning opportunities at Prince George’s Community College, profiles of student success, programs, services and special events at the college and around the county. Program topics have included: Careers in the Health Sciences, College Readiness & Completion, College Affordability, Student Engagement & Community Service, Workforce Development, Cyber Security & Online Learning, Public Safety & Law Enforcement Programs, Financial Literacy and Careers in Health Sciences.
Produced semi-annually by PGCC-TV, the British Debaters is sponsored by the International Education Center at Prince George's Community. Recorded in our TV studio before a live audience of students and faculty, the English Speaking Union's two-person debate team stimulates discussion of international affairs topics. PGCC Debating Society students also gain debating skills tips from the internationally recognized guest debaters.
Conversations with Charlene Dukes
“Conversations with Charlene Dukes” is a half-hour interview show hosted by Prince George’s Community College President, Dr. Charlene M. Dukes. The program features one-on-one interviews with distinguished alumni, government officials and prominent figures in the Washington Metropolitan area. Guests discuss their lives, work and connections to the college. Recent guests have included, Rushern Baker, Prince George's County Executive; Joseph Wright, Associate Judge Maryland District Court; Kevin Maxwell, CEO of Prince George's County Public Schools; Dr. Joycelyn Elders, the first African American Surgeon General of the United States; and Danette Howard, Secretary of Higher Education for the state of Maryland. click images below to watch an episode.
Millennium Management Lecture Series
The Millennium Management Lecture Series is one of the college's most prestigious discussions. Recorded in front of a live audience in the studios of PGCC-TV, the series grants students and members of the community access to outstanding leaders in business and government. Past speakers include: Keith Singletary, Sr, Chik-Fila Franchise Owner; Rear Admiral Barry C. Black (ret), the first African-American to serve as the chaplain for the United States Senate; and Janie Jeffers, former White House Executive Deputy Director under President Bill Clinton, among many others.

Bluebird Blues Festival
Highlights of the Bluebird Blues Festival, an annual celebration held at Prince George’s Community College every September, can be seen on PGCC TV. The festival has become one of the county’s premier events, attracting an average of 12,000 people, dozens of vendors, and national blues acts. If you missed it, you can watch a special presentation of performances by Bobby “Blue” Bland, Clarence Carter, Guitar Blues legend, Bobby Parker, the Legendary Orioles, Yahzarah, Daryl Davis, the Phil Wiggins Trio, the Jewels and “A Lil Bit of Blues” band.
Health Report Card
Health Report Card is a one-hour talk show delivering health information from a panel of medical professionals in an educational and entertaining program format. Produced by Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) TV and hosted by middle college high school students from the Academy of Health Sciences at PGCC, Health Report Card engages students in lively discussions with health experts on a variety of topics affecting people of all ages in Prince George’s County and the state of Maryland. The program is recorded in front of a live studio audience and features interesting stories about local health issues, questions and answer segments, nutrition, cooking and fitness demonstrations.
