PGCC Student Learning Online

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially named this outbreak a pandemic. COVID-19 cases continue to mount around the globe and have hit home— right here in Prince George’s County. College leaders are making every effort to protect students, faculty, staff and the community during these unusual times by adhering to social distancing requirements and recommendations by canceling events, implementing remote work for employees, and with online learning beginning Monday, March 30, 2020.

These sudden, but necessary, shifts present challenges for some students and the Prince George’s Community College Foundation is responding through the creation of the Owl Emergency Response Fund to address immediate and emerging needs identified to support our students, faculty and staff. This fund will help with technical assistance for continued teaching and learning via laptops, smart devices and other aids to facilitate remote learning, digital literacy, tutoring assistance and more.
