Prince George's Community College Announces PGCC Day of Play

LARGO, MD (April 16, 2024) Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) announced PGCC Day of Play, a free all-day event of workshops, video game tournaments, contests, prizes, food, and live music to be held on Saturday, April 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts (CPA). PGCC Day of Play will feature an evening concert by Mega Ran at 7:00 p.m. in the CPA’s Grand Theater.

PGCC Day of Play attendees can also tour the Largo campus and explore PGCC’s creative arts programs through information sessions. With a full schedule of events, PGCC Day of Play will allow attendees to engage in fun activities and explore their creativity and love of the arts.

Video Game Tournaments

Participate in two “Super Smash Bros.” video game tournaments, along with a video game Jeopardy tournament, and be eligible to win GameStop gift cards.

Art Workshops

Make your own clay figurines, design character wall art with fuse beads, and create original drawings and artwork.

Theater and Dance Workshops

Discover the power of live performance. Attend theater improv sessions, learn the basics of cosplay and theater technology, or participate in African world dance and modern repertory ballet sessions.

Songwriting Workshops

Learn the basics of songwriting and song structure. Get answers to your music questions and even workshop your original song with our expert faculty.
