Click on the title of the workshop to be directed to the registration page in Cornerstone. Or, to access the TLC page in Cornerstone and register from there, please follow the steps below:

  1. Access Cornerstone via myPGCC.
  2. Click on the Cornerstone icon.
  3. Once in Cornerstone, click on the TLC icon on the left side to access the TLC workshop registration area.
  4. Click on the title of the workshop to register.
  5. Lastly, click "View Details" > "Request."

Session 1: Introduction to the Seven Principles and Encouraging Student-Faculty Contact - June 20

Session 2: Encouraging Cooperation Among Students and Encouraging Active Learning - June 22

Description: This session delves into the benefits of cooperative learning and active learning. Participants will learn about various strategies for fostering student collaboration and promoting engagement and higher-order thinking skills through active learning techniques.

Session 3: Giving Prompt Feedback and Emphasizing Time on Task - June 27

Description: This session focuses on the role of feedback in the learning process and the significance of time on task for student success. Participants will explore strategies for providing prompt feedback to students and emphasizing efficient time use in their courses.

Session 4: Communicating High Expectations and Respecting Diverse Talents and Ways of Learning - June 29

Description: This session addresses the power of high expectations for motivating students and the value of respecting diverse talents and ways of learning. Participants will learn strategies for communicating high expectations and promoting an inclusive and responsive classroom environment.
