Swimming Pool Updates During COVID 19 Pandemic

At the present time, the Robert I. Bickford Natatorium at Prince George's Community College is closed, due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

The re-opening of our indoor pool will occur in Phase Four of the State of Maryland Plan.

The college is planning for the re-opening and is focusing on: swimming lane use, distance required to keep swimmers apart, locker room sanitation and distance from other people, number of students in the showers, and  foot rule for signing in at the front desk.

When the pool opens, students must provide their own floation devices: vests, noodles, and floation belts.

As soon as we receive information concernning a re-opening date, it will be posted on the website.  Dates and times for swim classes and aerobics  will be announced here, and will be posted in Owl Link. At the present time, the earliest water aerobics and aqua spinning could start is mid October 2021.  The "Learn to Swim" program will open later in the fall semester, if it is possible.
