Parking

Adjunct faculty and instructors receive parking passes through their department directly or from Human Resources and Organizational Development. You must be currently teaching to receive a parking pass.

ID Cards

All faculty and staff are required to have a College-issued photo identification card. Identification cards are obtained in Accokeek Hall, Learning Resource Center, first floor by the circulation desk.​

Cornerstone

Cornerstone is the College's talent management system in which you complete required trainings as a new employee.

 

Technology Resources

Canvas

Canvas is a web-based learning management system, or LMS. It is used by learning institutions, educators, and students to access and manage online course learning materials and communicate about skill development and learning achievement. Canvas includes a variety of customizable course creation and management tools, course and user analytics and statistics, and internal communication tools.

MyPGCC

MyPGCC is the College’s enterprise portal bringing all of the college’s services together into a streamlined and secure site accessible to faculty, staff, and students. It enables easy access to information and services online via a single sign-on environment. You get into the portal by going to https://my.pgcc.edu and signing in with your username and password.

Navigate is an advising and registration tool that enables students to have a clear picture of what's needed to complete courses and make the best decisions for their time and finances. Students can even get notifications about important dates and deadlines for registration, enrollment, and financial aid.

Outlook

You will be assigned a College username that will be used for our College email system, Outlook. Your email address will be your College username@pgcc.edu. You should use your College email in all correspondence with students and should ask them to correspond with you only using their College email.

Owl Alert

Owl Alert

Owl Alert is a system for notifying faculty, staff, and students of campus emergencies such as snow, power outages, or plumbing issues.

Through Owl Link, Faculty are able to view their pay advices, leave balances, W-2 Statements and more through Owl Link. Faculty can also view class rosters, email their classes, submit grades online, get information on students in their classes, send Retention Alerts, your pay information and more.
