Notable Institutional Achievements

Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) is designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Security Two-year Education by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the years 2010-2015 and 2015-2020.

The college opened the first middle college high school in Maryland to give high school students a chance to earn an associate degree along with their diploma. The Academy of Health Sciences dual enrollment program is offered in partnership with Prince George’s County Public Schools.

Prince George’s Community College is a White House Champion of Change. The college received recognition in 2011 for its commitment to improving student program completion rates and for its partnerships with the community.
