Prince George's Community College Announces Second Annual Jazz Festival

Featuring five local high school jazz ensembles and an evening concert with The Airmen of Note

LARGO, Md. (March 8, 2024) Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) announced its 2nd Annual Jazz Festival, which will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Center for Performing Arts.

This free festival will feature five local high school jazz ensembles and vocal groups showcased in a performance adjudicated by professional jazz musicians and educators from the Washington metropolitan area. 

Following the festival, an evening concert with The Airmen of Note will take place at 7:30 p.m., featuring an eclectic mix of classic and modern big-band music. The Airmen of Note is a premier United States Air Force jazz ensemble, comprising one of six band ensembles that form The U.S. Air Force Band.
