Windows Server Administration

Earning this certification qualifies you for a network or computer systems administrator or a computer network specialist position. It is the first step on your path to becoming a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA: Server 2016).

Windows Desktop Client Certification

Earning this certification will validate your fundamental knowledge and skills for installing and configuring Windows services.

Summer 2024 Semester

Remote

Learning in real-time

Students who take a remote class will meet online via Zoom in your Canvas course at scheduled times with set deadlines and due dates. Students will ​also access learning materials, assignments, and participate in discussions via Canvas.

TEC-610 Windows Server Administration

This course develops the knowledge and skills required for a Network or Computer Systems Administrator. Students complete skill-based labs related to server installation, configuration and administration, resource access, and security. Students gain experience configuring the following: Hyper-V and virtual machines, remote access, data storage, permissions, and Active Directory objects. Prerequisite: familiarity with Windows Desktop Client. This course meets concurrently with INT-2310.

TEC-609 Windows Desktop Client

This course covers basic Windows Desktop Client installation, configuration, and administration. Students demonstrate proficiency by completing lab-based assignments. Students use administrative tools, configure storage, manage file systems, create user and group accounts, and secure and troubleshoot the operating system. This course provides the skills needed to become a Modern Desktop Administrator and prepares students for the Modern Desktop Certification Exam (MD-100). This course meets concurrently with INT-2300.

$420 (includes $160 lab fee).
