Carpenters construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Carpenters are involved in everything from the building of highways, bridges, homes, and apartments, to the many residential tasks such as the installation of kitchen cabinets, windows, partitions, and doors. Because they are exposed to the entire construction process, carpenters have more opportunities than most other construction workers to become construction supervisors.
Prince George's Community College provides the training to get you started on a lucrative and rewarding career in the carpentry trade.
